Directly to the west of Stevens Pass sits a small bowl known as Grace Lakes. The bowl is easily accessed via the Stevens Pass Resort's Skyline Express, but it can also be accessed for less money and on your own schedule by taking a snowcat track from the South Lot at Stevens Pass Resort.

The proximity to the ski area makes Grace Lakes a great place for an introduction into backcountry skiing and a good option for testing out new equipment. There are many short shots located in the Graces Lakes area that allow for quick laps and easy line scouting on your ascent. Playful lines full of cliffs and chutes overlook Summit and Grace Lakes, while mellow tree runs can be found on the east side of Grace Lakes.

Be aware of downhill traffic and snowcat operations while using the cat track to tour up to the Grace Lakes bowls. Ski patrol can and will close specific areas for avalanche danger, so be sure to check with them before heading out to keep from interfering with avalanche patrols.
