This group campsite is close to Big Bear and Bluff Lake Reserve, offering abundant opportunities for hiking, biking, and rock climbing in the forest along with boating, fishing, shopping, and dining at the lake.

Boulder Group Camp is one single site that accommodates up to 40 people and must be reserved in advance at least 24 hours ahead of time. It is a very pleasant, shady area, but there is no drinking water or garbage service, so plan accordingly. Picnic tables, a grill, fire ring, and vault toilets make it plenty comfortable, however, and there is enough space to park a trailer and several vehicles.

Even though this is a single-reservation group camp, remember that you are still on public land, so you should treat it responsibly and share the forest with other visitors on the trails and roads.

Note: Reservations are required for Boulder Group Camp, which is typically open from mid-May through mid-October. Call 877.444.6777 for specific seasonal open/close dates. If Boulder is taken, try Bluff Mesa or Deer Group Camp.
