Olympic Valley is home to one of the most famous ski resorts in Tahoe, Squaw Valley. But even in the summertime, the valley is home to a plethora of outdoor activities, including hiking and backpacking, mountain biking and fly-fishing. Silver Creek Campground is one of three campgrounds in the Olympic Valley, and the most secluded for tent campers. The grounds include 11 RV campsites, five car/tent sites, and seven walk-in campsites that sit along the Truckee River's edge. These seven sites are the nicest in the campground, being removed from the main loop and the highway.

Every site includes a picnic table and barbecue, and there are bathrooms and potable water on site. Many hiking opportunities exist nearby, included the strenuous yet beautiful Five Lakes Trail. The Truckee River also provides a healthy supply of trout for fly fishing. For whatever adventure you are planning in the Olympic Valley, Silver Creek Campground is a great spot to camp along the way.

Silver Creek Campground is open from May 15 to October 11.
