Tucked away in the shade of lodgpole and Jeffery pines on the banks of Bishop Creek, this humble campground is a perfect spot to pass the night as you enjoy the miles of trails in the surrounding area. You'll enjoy easy access to trails leading to Lamarck Lake, North Lake, and Piute Pass or day trips climbing Mount Emerson. This campground is also popular with fishermen because of all of the fantastic lake access. Families will enjoy the down-tempo natural environment and the cool relief of the shade in the summer. Just be sure to bring mosquito repellent, as the water sources in the area nourish a healthy population of these pesky summer companions.

Sites here are spacious and private, and the basic amenities lend an authentic air to the campground. All 11 sites are tent-only, and all are first-come, first-served. Early arrivals are important for site selection during peak season. Each site comes equipped with the standard fire ring and picnic table, and visitors have access to centrally located vault toilets and potable water. Food storage boxes are available as well. Access to the campground is by an occasionally narrow gravel road that closes seasonally along with the campground.
