Feather River Hot Springs

Feather River Hot Springs is a small resort complex located within the Feather River Canyon. In addition to it's eponymous hot spring (formerly known as Woody's Hot Spring), the resort has RV hookups and cabins for rent. Day use of the hot springs is open to the public with a $5 donation. The spring can also be reserved for exclusive use. It's recommended by Rocki, the proprietor of the property, to call ahead before visiting to be sure the spring isn't currently reserved.

The hot springs are fed into a large concrete tub that is split into two sections. There are two separate sources being tapped, so the two halves of the tub have different mineral properties. The smaller, milky white section rewards the soaker with a little more fragrance than the larger, clearer portion of the tub.

After soaking, the North Fork of the Feather River is just steps away and offers a refreshing cold plunge. The river and its surrounding canyon offer scenic views during the soaking experience. Although the spring area is hidden from the rest of the resort and is recessed from nearby Highway 70, some light road noise can be heard on occasion.
