You can find Cape Cove Beach by following a short-and-steep trail tucked into the hillside near Cape Perpetua along Highway 101. This destination offers dramatic, volcanic-rock shoreline and fine-grain sand. As a relatively small beach with a rocky shore, this is less of a family-activity destination and more of a spot to provide a viewpoint and short hike. Cape Cove Beach is a good stop to combine with Cape Perpetua Visitor Center, Thor's Well + Cook's Chasm and Neptune State Park, among other nearby destinations.

Cape Cove and Devils Churn is part of the Cape Perpetua Marine Reserve and Marine Protected Areas. This means that there are specific prohibitions against fishing and the harvesting of fish, invertebrates, and seaweed. Check here for specific clarifications on regulations, exemptions, and a detailed representation of the area's boundaries.
