Salt Creek Sno-Park

Just off Highway 58 and close to Willamette Pass, Salt Creek Sno-Park is a popular spot for sledding and tubing as well as other winter adventures. The sledding hill is just off of the parking area and is maintained throughout the winter. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing trails also depart from the parking area. For a great view head back down the one-lane road toward Salt Creek Falls for a view of one of Oregon’s tallest waterfalls. The massive flows and ice-covered rocks give the falls a powerful and even magical appearance in the winter. For a longer adventure, continue on to Diamond Creek Falls.

Vault toilets are located in the parking area. Sno-park permits are required. Dogs on leash are allowed in the parking area and on the trails, but not on the tubing hill. Since it is one of the few sledding spots along Highway 58, the parking area can become crowded and congested on weekends.

Just a few miles to the east is the Gold Lake Sno-Park, which has a warming cabin and is staffed by friendly and helpful volunteers from the Willamette Backcountry Ski Patrol.
