Campground Description

Campground Description

Located in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest along the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River, Tinkham Campground is on the doorstep of numerous hiking trails, fishing areas, horseback riding trails, and winter snowshoeing areas. The campground is nestled alongside the river under towering Douglas fir and cedar trees, and it offers 47 standard non-electric sites, some of which are reservable and some which are first-come, first-served.

There are several short trails that lead down to the river, and a number of the campsites have direct access to the water as well. From the east side of the campground, access the 0.5-mile Tinkham Discovery Trail for a stroll through moss-covered trees to a small pond that is perfect for children.

The convenient access from I-90 makes Tinkham a prime choice for those wishing to camp without driving hours from the city, and nearby North Bend offers all the amenities one might need. If you are looking for a more isolated or quiet camping experience, this may not be the best option for you, as the proximity to the freeway means traffic is audible.

Note that there are two campsite prices: $16 for non-riverside sites and $18 for riverside.
