The Denali View North Campground provides both a quick and easy camping area with stunning views for RVs and an immersive forest for tent site campers with peeks through the trees to the Denali Mountain Range. Located within Denali State Park, the campground is accessed off of the George Parks highway. This area is recommended for people traveling between Anchorage and Fairbanks who need a place to stop for the night.
On a clear day, Denali is easily visible from the main camping area and provides a perfect backdrop to your camping activities. Thanks to a fully paved access drive, the campground also offers parking for temporary visitors who need to stretch their legs and snap a few breathtaking photos of the park and Denali Range. Established in 1994, this campground is a dedicated memorial to the crew and servicemen who lost their lives in a plane crash into Mount Deception in September, 1944. A memorial is installed at the northwest corner of the lookout for those who would like to learn more about the history of the site.
There are two rows of available spots for RV camping, one along the back of the main camping area and one in the middle. The back row lies along the tree line and provides a grassy area behind the RV spots for campers to enjoy. The middle row is not directly adjacent to grass or trees, but it does afford slightly better views of Denali. Rest assured that every spot is equally enjoyable during your stay, and you won't have much trouble finding an excellent spot.
Visiting or staying, the Denali View North Campground provides a little bit of anything anyone could be looking for.
