Campground Description

Campground Description

Just a stone’s throw from C.C. Cragin (Blue Ridge) Reservoir, this campground nestled in the pines sits on the edge of a wooded valley. The campground is one large loop with 33 single sites and two double sites. The fire rings, tables, grills, and pads appear to be brand new.

The campsites are not far apart but are surrounded by vegetation giving them an intimate and secluded feel. The downside is that the vegetation obstructs any good views of the reservoir, which sits in the valley below. This campground is a bit off the beaten path, 4 miles down a gravel road, yet it still sees quite a bit of traffic. Opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and fishing are within striking distance of this campground.

Site 8 is a single site with pull-through access that allows for larger vehicles or vehicles with trailers. Sites 13 and 18 are double sites that are appropriate for larger groups. These are twice the cost of a regular site. While no sites have an unobstructed view of the lake, sites 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 26, 30, and 33 are perched on the edge of the valley. They have slightly better views but are likely windier.
