Easy access to great tree skiing and an onsen to soak your legs after a ski tour make the Goshki area a favorite for those in Niseko. The Goshiki Onsen and skiing can even be accessed from the Niseko ski areas when the backcountry gates are open.

Park along Road 58 just past the Goshiki Onsen, where the plowing of the road ends. The area is relatively small and a good choice when visibility is low. Many of the fall lines are 400 to 800 feet and easy to lap all day. From the parking area, there are several routes up. Head north along the unplowed Road 58 before gaining a small ridge to the west after a half-mile or head directly west to access the ridgetop. The best skiing slopes are east facing and descend back to the Onsen.

If accessing from the Niseko ski areas, enter through the backcountry gates to the west. Descend the ridge and fall line to the Goshiki Onsen. Getting back to the ski area requires a quick tour back up the ridgeline, then descend into the Annapuri ski area.
