False Creek Sea Wall

False Creek Sea Wall wraps along the shore of False Creek, meets up with the English Bay, and eventually wraps all the way to Stanley Park and Coal Harbour. To the west, it connects with the shore bike path and works its way to Jericho, Spanish Banks, and the University of British Columbia. The False Creek section is one of the busiest sections, both in terms of people and options for stops. The trail is well marked and divided into pedestrian and cyclist sections to avoid too much contact. While a smooth ride, it's a slow bike ride as most people move slowly. On weekends, it's a popular walk for families. 

There is something for everyone along the trail. You might have to wander a little ways off the trail, but never more than a few hundred meters. Here is a sampling of what you wil run into heading east from Vanier.

• The Burrard Public Marina—a popular kayak, paddleboard, and dragon boat launch
• The Cultural Harmony Grove
• False Creek Harbour—there is a fish market at certain times of the year in the morning and an excellent fish and chips spot
• Granville Island—in itself an extremely popular destination with breweries, farmers markets, art galleries, distilleries, and more
• The False Creek Water Park
• False Creek Community Centre and Dragon Boat Wharf
• Charleston Park—open spaces with plenty of trees, a great spot for kids to explore nature
• Stamps Landing—many superb pubs and patios
• Habitat Island and Hinge Park
• Olympic Village—two massive craft beer bars, cafes, and a acommuity centre
• Science World
• Plaza of Nations
• Quayside—fancy restaurants and fine dining
• David Lam Park—big, beautifully arranged park in Yaletown
• Vancouver Aquatic Centre—huge indoor pool

With so many stops, it's worth several different day trips for many experiences.
