Adjacent to Lakeside Campground just above Deer Lake, Bench Campground serves as Sasquatch Provincial Park's overflow campground, only open during the summer months when demand requires additional campsite capacity. Otherwise, the campground remains closed most of the year.

The campground itself is well shaded under a dense grove of second-growth conifers primarily dominated by western hemlock. Only providing potable water and vault toilets, the campground has few amenities. Also, the campground is removed from the actual shoreline of Deer Lake by several hundred meters, although a short interpretive trail (perfect for bird watching) connects the campground to Deer Lake and Lakeside Campground, where a boat dock, boat ramp, playground and grassy shoreline can be found.

Note: Bench Campground is only open on an as-necessary basis during the peak season between early April and early October. Go to BC Parks - Sasquatch State Park for yearly open dates/reservation details. If you are making reservations via phone from outside of Canada, call +1.519.826.6850.
