Mountain magic is circulating here. Round the Mountain Trail is a well-known mountain bike loop complete with a cool cross-country mix of easy breezy singletrack that transitions to more technical sections through forests. Starting out at the Kimberley Nordic Club parking lot, follow the paved road to Kimberley Alpine Resort’s upper parking lot. This is where you begin a long 3-kilometer climb on the ski area maintainance road, a taxing grade to warm you up. Keep at it because after this burner you'll reach a low pass and then level out into rolling terrain. You'll then be into the heart and soul of this trail, a forested singletrack that undulates with a variety of bumpy, short and technical sections.

Entering the Horse Barn Valley Interpretive Forest, a ridge above a moist and lush forested area, climb and drop Tora Bora Ridge into Coral Route. This is a more technical section with a beauty of a descent at the end taking you into Shannon Trail near tiny Dipper Lake – a perfect rest or lunch spot. Enjoy the lush forested shoreline as you are nearing the end. Shannon Trail has some short scree sections as you hit the real rocky sidehill of aptly named Rockslide Trail. Then you enter the well-manicured trail options of Landsem Trail to Centennial Trail to complete your 20-kilometer journey.
