Adventure Description

Adventure Description

Team

Together, Doran Regional Park and adjacent Doran Beach occupy the spit of sand that lies between Bodega Bay and Bodega Harbor. The area is well known for its angler-oriented campground and for being Bodega Bay's closest protected boat launch with access to the great blue Pacific. A protected harbor channel and jetty entrance to the ocean is right around the corner from the boat launch. The fishing and crabbing in Bodega Bay is regionally renowned and attracts a loyal following. Be sure to make reservations in advance for weekends and holidays.

Considered a part of Doran Regional Park, Doran Beach’s 2-mile stretch of sand is popular with beachcombers, kayakers and surfers. Bodega Head’s prominent headland and point feature shelters on the west end of the beach, providing some protection for beach kayak launches. This is a nice beach for a family visit that offers adjacent parking and a handful of picnic tables. Restrooms are also available.
