The Panorama Park Summit Trail is a short walk that leads to the highest point in the city of Fullerton and panoramic views stretching from the San Gabriel mountains to the the Pacific Ocean to downtown Los Angeles.

With just over 60 feet in elevation gain over the 0.2-mile walk from the parking lot to the first overlook point, this gravel trail is wide and good for walkers of nearly all ability levels. It is common to see dog walkers, joggers, mountain bikers and horseback riders on this path as the trail connects to a series of equestrian and running trails, though the overlook area rarely ever feels crowded.

Two overlook points crown the top of the Summit Trail. The first is actually the highest point in Fullerton at an elevation of 533 feet. The second overlook point, located slightly further to the north, has an elevation of 526 feet, and it also has a bench to give one a chance to sit down and take in the view before heading back down the trail.

From the overlooks it is possible to see the towers in the city centers of Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, Newport, Orange County, and Los Angeles on a clear day. If you know where to look and the weather is clear, you have no trouble spotting area landmarks such as Disneyland, Anaheim Stadium, Knott's Berry Farm, and Santa Catalina Island. Mount Baldy and the San Gabriel Mountains line the view to the north.

The trail and parking area are open from 7 a.m. until Sunset daily, and the gate is locked soon after sunset. There are no facilities aside from trash cans at the parking area and along the trail.
