McKenzie River, Harvest Landing to Armitage Park

With put-in and take-out spots so close to Eugene and Springfield, this stretch of the McKenzie River is a great escape on a hot summer day! There is a small parking area with a vault toilet at the put-in spot at Harvest Landing Park. The boat ramp provides easy access into the river. During the float, watch for wildlife along the banks such as river otters and waterfowl. You can stop along the way and pick blackberries for a break from the water. This part of the McKenzie is also known for good fishing holes. There are a few houses along the south side of the river, and people can be seen hanging out on the banks, but the majority of the float is pretty quiet. The take-out spot, another boat ramp, is on the left (south) side of the river, just under the I-5 bridge at Armitage Park. Armitage Park also has restroom facilities, picnic tables, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts and a large parking area.

Note: There is no place to purchase a Lane County park pass at Harvest Landing.
