Ginnie Springs is the poster child of Florida's freshwater springs system. Privately owned, this spring is open 365 days a year, and it is a destination for campers, freedivers, and swimmers alike. Many visitors choose to bring or rent inner tubes and float over the crystal clear spring water and down the Santa Fe River.

Inside the park grounds there are two main areas to enjoy the springs: the main Ginnie Springs and the Devil's Springs system that sits a quarter mile down the river. Both areas are accessible by vehicle with parking, showers, and bathrooms.

Because of it's surreal beauty and growing population, Ginnie Springs gets very crowded on summer weekends, college breaks and holidays. Luckily, because the water is spring fed, it remains 72 degrees all year long. While it's nice and refreshing on hot summer days, you can avoid the crowds by going on a weekday during the off season.

Cave diving at Ginnie Springs is some of Florida's premiere diving. The caverns at Devil's Ear Spring and Devil's Eye Spring are for certified and competent cave divers only, but the "Main Ballroom" at Ginnie Springs is open to all certified scuba divers. Solo diving is not allowed, and dive lights are only permitted for certified cave divers.
