Keawaula Beach is a popular weekend destination for locals and tourists alike, and it is situated at the end of Farrington Highway just before Ka'ena Point State Park. The mixture of sand beach and rocky shoreline to the north creates a unique location for surfing, fishing, swimming, and hanging out.

Families and friends alike gather on weekends and busier summer months to have cookouts and relax. Explore nearby Ka'ena Point, where many rare coastal species can be seen, such as the Hawaiian monk seal, albatross, and humpback whales in the distance. There is very little shade at the beach, so bring plenty of water and reef-safe sunscreen!

The closest developed area is miles away, so pack food or snacks. If you plan to stay into the late afternoon, consider catching the spectacular sunset over the ocean. The parking lot is small; however, there is plenty of parking along the road adjacent to the beach itself. There is a public restroom and freshwater rinse shower available for use.

Dangerous currents and swell are possible, especially during the winter months. Check wave conditions before entering the water.
