The Moanalua Valley Neighborhood Park is a secluded, green space for outdoor adventurers and families alike. Nestled at the end of Ala Aolani Road, the park is situated between the steeper ridges of the Moanalua Valley. The valley is home to some of O'ahu's historic landmarks, which was almost destroyed to construct the H-3 Freeway. From here, hikers and bikers can access the Kamananui Valley Road and other trails, such as the Kulana'ahane Trail, that explore deeper into the valley. The park itself has two basketball courts, one of which is more shaded than the other in the afternoon. There are also plenty of shaded green spaces for picnics, as well as a playground and restrooms for public use.

The parking lot can be crowded due to the high volume of hikers, although few people actually use the park's other amenities. Street parking is available in the adjacent neighborhood. The park is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Please note, the gate is locked at precisely 7 p.m., so plan your activities accordingly.
