Sprague Creek Campground offers a unique “small campground” atmosphere right on one of Glacier National Park’s great lakes. The smallest campground in the park that is accessible by paved road, Sprague Creek has several sites only steps from Lake McDonald.
Basically just a single road with a turnaround at the end, the campground is adjacent to a day use picnic area. There are flush toilets but no showers. This campground does not allow towed vehicles.
There is much to do very close to Sprague Creek. Lake McDonald Lodge is a short drive away with everything from rental boats to luxurious dinners. Avalanche Lake (one of the most popular hikes in the park) and all the great sights of Going-to-the-Sun Road are just a park shuttle ride away, with a stop right at Sprague Creek.
