Many Glacier Hotel is situated on the eastern shore of the picturesque Swiftcurrent Lake in Glacier National Park. The unique Swiss chalet styling and encircling peaks give visitors the feel of having stepped into a storybook land. Although a popular tourism destination, it's remote location in the far northeastern portion of the park gives the area an inherent rugged and remote feel.

The hotel was constructed in 1915 as a tourism destination and contains more than 200 guest rooms. Stepping out the backdoor of the hotel, guests are treated to a one-of-a-kind view across Swiftcurrent Lake toward Mount Gould, Grinnell Point, and Mount Wilbur. Iceberg Lake, Swiftcurrent Pass, and Grinnell Glacier are just a few of the many spectacular hikes that are easily accessible from the hotel. Scenic boat tours of Swiftcurrent Lake are also available. Given the remote location and quantity of snowfall, summer is the best time for most to visit the area.

One can still enjoy the restaurants and ambiance of the lodge without actually staying there. Plus, that view!

Though very expensive and crowded, it is still worth spending a night at some point.
