Mount Pemigewasset is a short hike to rewarding views in Franconia Notch State Park. The Mount Pemigewasset Trail begins at the north end of the Flume Visitor Center parking lot. The trail passes underneath Highway 93 before beginning the gradual ascent to the summit.

From the trailhead to the summit is 1.7 miles, which makes the round-trip distance 3.4 miles. The trail features bridges and stone stairs but remains a gradual hike the entire way with nothing very challenging.

The summit features rocky cliffs and beautiful views to the southwest. To return to your car, follow the Mount Pemigewasset Trail back the way you came. An alternate route to the summit would be to follow the Indian Head Trail using a trailhead further south on Highway 93.
