Turtle Beach is a day use only recreational area in the Delaware Water Gap. It requires a fee to access the beach: $10 per car or $2 for walk-ins. The area is very large, so while it can get congested, there is plenty of space to stretch out. There are two bathroom facilities on the site, one where you first arrive and a second down by the beach. Turtle Beach is accessible year round with lifeguards on duty from mid-June through August. Pets are not permitted at the beach, but on a leash your pet can take in a lot of the Delaware Water Gap.

Turtle Beach is close to many of the Delaware Water Gap's most popular sights. You can visit the Kittatinny Point Visitor Center for information on the Delaware Water Gap and scenic views of the river. Also close by is Millbrook Village, a re-created village from the 1800s that provides a great look into the history of the Delaware Water Gap and routinely hosts live demonstrations. If you're looking for more nature you can visit Dingmans Falls or hike at Van Campens Glen to one of the area's many waterfalls.

If you're looking to spend more time than just a day at the Delaware Water Gap, you can make reservations at one of the nearby campgrounds, Worthington State Forest Campsite, Dingmans Campground, or the Mohican Outdoor Center.
