Obstruction Pass Beach is at the far southeastern point of Orcas Island. Here you will find a sandy, expansive public beach as well as the private beach serving the Lieberhaven Resort. The public beach is a great launching point for paddling trips around Obstruction Island to the south or up into the East Sound. If it’s a paddling adventure you’re looking for, you can rent kayaks and have them brought to the location by a local outfitter, or the Lieberhaven Resort provides rentals on the spot.

Obstruction Pass Beach is also popular for fishing and crabbing, but due to the long and gradually sloping sandy beaches of the area, there are no tide pools. Also, you should see plenty of seals and seabirds in the area.
