Strawberry Hill is part of the larger Neptune State Park along the Oregon Coast. It is a great place to explore tide pools, do some beach combing, view wildlife, or just watch the waves roll in. Beach and tide pool access uses the stairs from the small parking area. A few picnic tables provide good views of the beach and make for a nice place to have lunch or a snack.

Wildlife is plentiful at Strawberry Hill. Sea birds and harbor seals can be seen in the surf. You may even spot a gray whale migrating by. During low tide many invertebrates and small fish can be found in the tide pools, so be sure to watch your step. Many creatures such as barnacles, mussels, anemones, snails, limpets, and sea stars call the rocky area home and are adapted to living in this unique environment. During the summer, slippery seaweed can cover the rocks and make navigating the tide pools a little tricky.

Always remember to check the tides before heading out onto the rocks. Tides can come in quickly and leave you stranded if you aren't careful.

Strawberry Hill is part of the Cape Perpetua Marine Reserve and Marine Protected Areas. This means that there are specific prohibitions against fishing and the harvesting of fish, invertebrates, and seaweed. Check here for specific clarifications on regulations, exemptions, and a detailed representation of the area's boundaries.
