The Siltcoos Beach Day Use and OHV Staging area is located within the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, just 7 miles south of Florence, Oregon. The beach provides plenty of opportunity for beachcombing, bird watching and wildlife sighting. Seals and whales can sometimes be seen just offshore. Once on the beach you can head south to follow along the Siltcoos River, or you can head north and follow the miles of sandy beach.

The trail to the beach from the parking area is a bit steep, but it is also short. There are vault toilets and plenty of parking spaces available in this day use area.

The Siltcoos Access Road has numerous opportunities to check out other hiking trails, campgrounds, and picnic areas. This area of the Oregon Coast is very popular with off highway vehicles (OHV) and can be exceptionally busy during the high season.

Note: This is a Snowy Plover Restricted Area, so part of the beach and some hiking trails are closed from March 15 through September 15. Please help these threatened birds by observing posted regulations.
