Cleator Bend Group Campground is not your normal group site. It is actually a small campground with nine individual sites of varying size and character, and the campground can only be reserved in its entirety. Each site has a fire ring, a picnic table, and a flat spot for a tent. There is limited parking for small camp trailers or RVs. Cleator Bend is on a wide bend of the Breitenbush River that consists of gravel bars and log jams. Just downstream, however, the river enters a small gorge, and there are a number of swimming holes for adventurous types.

Cleator Bend is ideal for a group of families who may want some privacy from other members of the group. The sites range from small, shady, and quiet to larger, open sites that are within earshot of the ledge drop rapid that marks the end of the gravel bar section. This is the put-in for the Class IV whitewater section of the Breitenbush, so expect to see kayakers putting on here when the flows are still up in the spring. Besides kayaking, there are numerous hiking trails and good fishing in the area.

Not sure if the camping fee is listed correctly. $110 seems surprisingly high, haha. Maybe $10?
