Campground Description

Campground Description

Pro Contributor

This small Forest Service campground is ideally located along the North Umpqua River near hiking trails and other adventures. The forest provides ample shade. The campsites are all situated along the river and far enough from the road to not hear the traffic. It's a beautiful place to use as a base camp for day trips or just sit back and relax along the water. It's a popular spot for fishing, whitewater rafting, hiking, mountain biking, and site-seeing.

Campsites are first-come, first-served, and each incudes a picnic table and fire pit. Campground amenities incudes vault toilets and gray water waste sump. There is no potable water. Island Campground is open year round.
