Sutton Campground sprawls out along Sutton Creek, just north of Florence. Because of the campsite distribution, this large campground feels smaller than it really is. The Sutton Trails are accessible from a number of trailheads in the campground, and they offer great hiking opportunities in the adjacent forested dune area. The trails connect to Alder Dune Campground and also to Sutton Beach.

The campground offers many tent sites, some RV sites with electrical hook ups, a group tent site, a group picnic area, and two group camping loops. Most of the sites are large and relatively private, with some sites offering almost total privacy. The campground is nestled among dense coastal forest with only a few open grassy areas. Sutton Creek, which cuts through the campground, is pretty but mostly inaccessible due to dense foliage and steep banks.

Sutton Campground is a great spot for visitors who wish to explore the fascinating forested dune ecosystems of the Central Oregon Coast while staying within a short drive of all the amenities available in nearby Florence.
