Three Creek Lake is an ideal setting to enjoy a lazy summer day in the mountains, and Three Creek Lake Campground provides a great overnight accommodation location. You can count on the notorious sunny Central Oregon days to warm up the lake's south shore and loose gravel beach, and the lodgepole pines and mountain hemlocks shade the campground that sits in the shadows of Tam McArthur Rim's glacial cirque.

The campground itself is quite small, featuring 11 campsites and two vault toilets. The adjacent Three Creek Lake Resort (541.873.2961) does rent boats and sell some grocery supplies and tackle, but in general the supplies are limited.

Recreation opportunities include fishing the lake's stocked brown and rainbow trout, strolling a mile and a half (one-way) to Little Three Creek Lake, hiking to the top of Tam McArthur Rim (5.2 miles total, 1,200 feet in elevation gain), or making the journey deep into the Three Sisters Wilderness to Park Meadow (12 miles total, 800 feet in elevation gain).

Note: The campground is typically open from late June through end of September, snowpack and weather permitting. Call Hoodoo Recreation Services at 541.338.7869 for specific dates.
