Silcox Hut is located on Mount Hood at 7,000 feet, which is high above the historic Timberline Lodge. This location provides a spectacular panoramic view, as it is above the tree line and accessible by snowcat or the Magic Mile Chairlift. A stay at Silcox Hut includes dinner, lodging, breakfast, and round-trip transportation from the main lodge.

Given the mountainside location, the historic accommodation, and the modern amenities, the Silcox Hut can be an ideal overnight destination for weddings, company retreats, or special personal events. The Silcox Hut can accommodate events of up to 40 people with a maximum capacity of 24 overnight guests. There are a total of six rooms, and each has two bunk beds.

Silcox Hut has two levels. The first floor features the bunk rooms, three restrooms, and a shower; the second level features a large event space with an adjacent bar and fireplace. Each stay includes a host who stays with the group and sleeps in separate private quarters. This host prepares all food for the guests, and all meals are served family style. Also, while it is rustic and historic, the Silcox Hut does offer modern conveniences including running water, electricity, and indoor plumbing.

In addition, Silcox guests can use the facilities at Timberline Lodge, including the pool, sauna, spa, and showers. Check-in time for Silcox is 4:00 p.m. and checkout is 10:00 a.m.
