Few experiences in the great outdoors are as restorative and soothing as watching a beautiful sunset.  Luckily, no matter where you live you usually don't have to travel too far to catch the daily phenomenon.

For those in Portland, few places offer a more dramatic and panoramic vista point for watching sunsets than at Mocks Crest Property in the fittingly named Overlook neighborhood.  Other than soft grass and a great view, the "pocket park" offers few amenities, so pack well and be sure to include a picnic blanket.  Also, during the mid-summer days the park can fill up quickly, so show up early to get the best seat along the edge of the park's 200 foot high bluff.
