Riverfront City Park is located along the Willamette River in downtown Salem, Oregon. It is home to the Gilbert House, the Riverfront Carosel, the Willamette Queen Riverboat, and it serves as a community hub for events like walks and runs for various charities, the World Beat Festival, the Bite of Salem, and many more. It is also home to an ice skating rink from November through February each year.
The park features wide walking paths that allow cyclist's, families, runners, walkers, and joggers to enjoy a trip around the park without fighting for space. You will also find benches, picnic tables, water fountains, and repair stations for your bike located along the outer walking path. A three-quarter of a mile walk can be enjoyed when you leave from the Carosel and walk the entire outer rim of the park. With a large playground surrounded by ample seating, three flushing toilets, and the nearby carosel, the park is used by many families, and it is the perfect spot for a family picnic or to get together with friends.
If you're looking for a longer ride, run, or walk, there are two bridges that connect the park with West Salem's Wallace Marine, and South Salem's Minto Brown Island Park.
