Located on the shoreline in downtown Tahoe City, Commons Beach is a city park boasting a world-class view. Consisting of 4 acres of pebbly beach, turf grass, group picnic areas, and a playground area, the park is an attraction for Tahoe City locals and visitors alike, and it is particularly well suited for those with young ones.

This family-friendly park offers summertime swimming and personal watercraft access. During the summer months kayaks can be rented from the beach. Tahoe City's shoreline bike path passes through the park and connects to bike paths along Tahoe's west shore and the Truckee River. A large group picnic area and amphitheatre are available for rent for large events through the city.

Public restrooms are available at Commons Beach. A local Tahoe City ordinance prohibits dogs in the park.
