This short urban stroll from the Two Rivers Park Trailhead to the Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge is perfect for weekday evenings or for when you want to enjoy a slice of nature but don’t have time to leave the city. Hopping on the Stones River Greenway, you’ll walk by a golf course, high school campus, skate park, and even a nearby waterpark. After crossing under Briley Parkway the greenway comes to the pedestrian bridge. Here you’ll have fantastic views of the Cumberland River, and if you’re lucky you may even see the General Jackson (a paddle wheel showboat) pass by.

This walk offers only a short glimpse of Nashville’s growing greenway system. With the addition of the 745-foot-long Cumberland Bridge in 2007, it is now possible to walk or ride all the way from Percy Priest Lake to Shelby Bottoms Park (a wetland area with even more hiking/biking trails).
