The two national park campgrounds in Bryce Canyon National Park are excellent bases for exploring the park. Both are very close to the Bryce Canyon amphitheater rim and the many viewpoints along the Rim Trail. Both campgrounds are also fairly primitive without hookups or showers (though these are available at Bryce Canyon Lodge). Sunset Campground is a good choice for tent campers and smaller RVs, especially since 20 tent sites are available for reservations.

The campground is laid out in three loops. Loop A allows generators and is supposed to be for RVs only (though anything longer than 25 feet might be tight). Loops B and C are for tents only, no generators. All loops have flush toilets and drinking water. Sunset Campground has its own shuttle stop right by the entrance, which is great for seeing the rest of the park, and the Sunset Point overlook is a very short walk across the main park road.

Sunset Campground is generally open from mid-April to mid-October, but North Campground nearby is open all year.
