The Hidden Valley Park in Draper has a surprising number of hikes that are accessible from its parking lot. The Bonneville Shoreline Trail sits up the hillside along the east side of the walking paths hugging the Wasatch Front and gives people a few different options for them to explore such as Big Willow Canyon just to the north. The trail to Bear Canyon is a perfect hike for the springtime with its many early wildflowers and an awesome long suspension bridge at the end that sits over a small waterfall that dries up by summer. From the park you head southeast up the paved and then dirt trail and across the small bridge over Little Willow Creek. Soon you'll get some amazing views of the valley below in a full 180 degrees. There are a few sections that level out into large open plateaus with large boulders that are perfect spots to enjoy the sunset.

The Bear Canyon Suspension Bridge is also a conduit for several other short trail options such as Ralph's Trail or the Bear Canyon Loop. There is plenty to explore here, and you can bring your dogs or ride your bikes as well. It is a relatively exposed trail, so keep that in mind on a hot day. Look out for certain sections of the trail where dogs are prohibited because of watershed regulations; these areas are clearly marked, and there are alternate routes to get on the main trail.
