Nestled on the south side of Lopez Island, Watmough Bay is a secluded and beautifully calm beach to take the family and friends. Embracing a quiet very much like the island that forms it, the bay is made up of small pebbly rocks flanked by natural stone walls, making this a peaceful spot to retreat on a summer's day. Once you park in the lot, the trail is unmistakable to follow; it runs straight to the beach and is an easy walk for any member of the family. Once there you will be treated to one of the most protected natural bays in the San Juan Islands, alone with the soft lap of the waves and the rush of pebbles as you settle in at one of Lopez Island's most tranquil spots.
