Campground Description

Campground Description

Trout Lake Creek Campground is a quiet, 17-site primitive campground with a riverside setting in Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Only a few miles from Mount Adams, Trout Lake Creek Campground sits under a coniferous forest with an understory of vine maples and dogwoods, so it is quite shaded. More than half the campsites sit alongside Trout Lake Creek and offer easy access to the banks. The campground facilities include picnic tables and barbeque grills for the sites, two well-maintained vault toilets, and a 0.5-mile River Trail with a picnic table and barbecue grill near the river at the halfway point. Sites 9, 13, and 17 are all double sites with picnic benches and barbecue grills. Fees are $10 per night for a single unit, $20 per night for a double unit, and $5 for extra vehicles.

Note that the campground is closed from November 30 to May 15, and the Forest Service does not recommend taking an RV or trailer down the gravel road to the campground.
