Adventure Description

Adventure Description

Team

With spectacular views of downtown Seattle from across Elliott Bay, Seacrest Park is the runner-up after Alki Beach for being West Seattle's hub for outdoor recreation.

Sandwiched between the bay and Harbor Avenue, Seacrest Park is known for its incredible views. It is also the main put-in location for paddling Elliott Bay, a good spot to rent bicycles for peddling the entire length of the Alki Trail, and the starting point for scuba divers* exploring the western shoreline of the bay.

The park also happens to host a 250-foot long fishing pier, the Don Armeni Boat Ramp, the western terminus of the West Seattle - Downtown Seattle water taxi, and Marination Ma Kai, a Hawaiian-Korean fusion restaurant that sits right on the water's edge.

Tours and Rentals

Alki Kayak Tours rents kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, fishing boats, bikes, skates, and longboards. You can also hire guides for sea kayaking tours of Elliott Bay, the Alki Peninsula, the Duwamish River, and overnight tours out to Blake Island. Call 206.953.0237 for details.

Seattle Dive Tours provides guiding services and equipment for those looking to explore below the surface of Elliott Bay. Here, old timber pilings have created a unique marine habitat where giant Pacific octopus, red Irish lords, lingcod, sunflower stars and giant nudibranch frequent the waters. Call 206.265.0006 for details.
