What does a year of new adventures look like? And how might those adventures change throughout the months and seasons in a calendar year? With the new year upon us, we're excited to invite you to participate in a 12 Months of Adventure journey.

Throughout 2019, we'll be highlighting a different outdoor activity/focus each month and inviting you to follow on and get out on some new adventures of your own. Tapping the expertise of our knowledgeable Contributors, we'll be providing educational resources, how-to tips, and trip ideas and adventure recommendations specific to that outdoor activity or focus.

We hope 12 Months of Adventure inspires you to break from routine and step into the unknown with your own new adventures. Follow along and tag photos with #12MonthsofAdventure on Instagram as you are out finding new ways to adventure deeper this year. As the year unfolds, we'll feature favorite photos here.

From snowventures to outdoor photography, from paddling pastimes to environmental stewardship, 12 Months of Adventure aims to cover a breadth of interests that connects everyone in a deeper way with the outdoors.
