Outdoor Project (outdoorproject.com) is a community-built resource born by a shared passion for outdoor adventure and love for our public lands. Our contributor community is creating the ultimate outdoor adventure guidebook across all types of human-powered activities—from hiking and backpacking to backcountry skiing and mountaineering. Currently we have over 8,000 adventure guides published on Outdoor Project, which is really just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what's out there in this great land of ours. At OP, we believe good things come from people spending time outside. It’s about more than standing on the mountain top. It’s about nourishment and learning. It’s about protecting what sustains us. It’s about building relationships with the outdoors and each other.

We are currently looking to grow our contributor network and bring on new outdoor enthusiasts/photographers/writers to highlight human-powered adventures across the country. This is not a job posting, but a voluntary program in which you submit your adventures on the Outdoor Project platform (via a contributor portal), and in exchange you can earn:

  • Pay for each adventure once you meet a seasonal threshold for your first few adventure submissions.
  • Access to outdoor industry gear/apparel discounts and pro deals.
  • Participation in seasonal awards and giveaways in the form of credit/gift cards to outdoor retailers.

If you love spending time outside and inspiring others with your adventures, contributing to Outdoor Project just may be the ideal fit for you. We would love to have you join our contributor community! You can apply to become an Outdoor Project contributor here.
