Throughout the month of October, celebrate the wild trails just outside of Portland in the Tillamook State Forest. Wild Salmon Center is hosting a photo contest to highlight the critical conservation areas WSC and the North Coast State Forest Coalition are actively working to protect throughout Oregon’s North Coast forests.

Post a photo or video on Instagram of your adventures trekking through the forest using the hashtag #TrektheTillamook, tag @wildsalmoncenter, and include the trail or general location of your adventure in the caption. We’ve got a Poler Napsack, two cases of the Brew Dr. Kombucha flavor of your choice, and Outdoor Project gear to giveaway at the end of the contest to the three winners!

Go fishing on the Kilchis River, hike up Kings Mountain, or hunt for mushrooms along Gales Creek Trail. Check out the featured adventures below for more recommendations. Whatever your adventure plans are, get outside today and #TrektheTillamook.

Contest Rules
How to Enter: During the Entry Period (October 1st – October 31st), enter the contest by publicly posting an original photo or video to Instagram. All entries must include the hashtag #TrektheTillamook, the trail area or general location where the photo was taken included in the caption, and “tag” @wildsalmoncenter on Instagram.
