Castle Rock Bay is a small quiet cove along the Colorado River a little north of Lake Havasu City.

The area is part of the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge, and makes a small pocket of the Lake Havasu landscape more easily accessible for water access and birdwatching. From the parking area, a flat gravel trail heads about 300 yards past the flatironesque Castle Rock and to the edge of the water. The spot allows for those with nonmotorized watercraft to put in and paddle out into the calm bay waters of the river, or for others to wait quietly and observe the dozens of species of nesting and migratory birds that visit the wetland reeds and flora.

A couple interpretive signs greet visitors. At about 10 acres in size, the Castle Rock Bay day use area makes up a small portion of the landscape, however this little-visited corner tends to feel quiet and distant from much of the developed desert area just a few minutes away.

There are no amenities at Castle Rock Bay, so visitors should plan to bring their own water. Pets are permitted on leash.

There is no fee to visit Castle Rock Bay, and the area is open during daylight hours only.
