Music Mountain Loop is a 16.7-mile route through the Superstition Wilderness. It starts from the Tortilla Trailhead and makes a clockwise loop around Music Mountain. It is a rugged and remote route that follows trails that are lightly traveled. The route passes through rolling hills and grasslands with jagged peaks and rugged mountains. The trail is sometimes sandy and smooth, sometimes rocky, and in some sections it is overgrown and difficult to navigate and may require bushwhacking (pants are recommended).

It is a challenging route with an elevation gain of 3,113 feet and is best suited to experienced hikers who are familiar with backcountry navigation. The rewards for taking on these challenges include beautiful views, a magnificent wilderness experience, and plenty of solitude.

This route can be completed as a long day hike or multi-day backpacking trip. It uses the Hoolie Bacon Trail #111, the Red Tanks Trail #107, and the Peters Canyon Trail #105, which is open to trail runners, hikers, and backpackers.
