Phantom Ranch is an historic establishment that provides the only lodging within the inner gorge of the Grand Canyon! This remote ranch is open year round and can only be reached via foot, mule, or by rafting along the Colorado River. Staying at Phantom Ranch is an experience unlike anything else!

Individuals who choose to hike to Phantom Ranch will be embarking on one of the most challenging, yet aesthetically rewarding experiences of a lifetime! The ranch is located 7.5 miles north of the South Kaibab Trailhead and 10 miles north of the Bright Angel Trailhead. Adventurers should be prepared for extreme changes in elevation and climate as the ranch is located several thousand feet below the rim of the canyon.

From the ranch guests have easy access to the Colorado River as well as several hiking trails. Dining is available at the Phantom Ranch Canteen which serves breakfast and dinner and offers bag lunches and a variety of snacks for purchase for hikers. For more information about the Phantom Ranch Canteen visit: https://www.grandcanyonlodges.com/dine/phantom-ranch-canteen/

Phantom Ranch accommodates tent camping as well as cabin rentals. Due to the limited space and popularity of the ranch all reservations must be made in advance.
