Saturday, June 17, we celebrated the kick-off for summer and our block party series at our fourth annual Solstice Block Party at Ecliptic Brewing Company. After a gloomy winter, we welcomed the sunshine and enjoyed a perfect day along with 4,500 people who came to join the fun and get inspired for their summer adventures.

Forty vendors attended and engaged with the Portland community in an authentic and inspirational way. Our vendors really brought the party! Rumpl hosted a bobbing for beer blanket challenge, and some lucky adventurers walked away with a new down blanket; Expedition Old Growth brought their virtual reality headsets and gave folks the opportunity to experience life 200 feet up in the canopy of old-growth trees; PrAna gave away some amazing prizes for their rock wall challenges; Patagonia was back with their popular worn-wear gear fix booth and donated over $1,600; Explore Hood Canal had their spin the wheel challenge rocking all day long. This event brings together such an amazing community, and the vendors hosted plenty of games and challenges that kept the energy high and the laughter roaring throughout the day. Thanks so much to the following sponsors:

Arcteryx, PRG, Mountain Shop, Danner, The North Face, Cascadia Expeditions, The Circuit, Skout Organics, ZEAL Optics, Mountain House, Deviation, Friends of the Columbia Gorge, Montbell, Luna Sandals, Renewal Workshop, ONDA, Oregon Wild, Mazamas, The Nature Conservancy, Oregon, 1% for the Planet, Mountain Mels, Green Mountain Energy, Wild Salmon Center, Wy'East Wolfpack, Trail Butter, MInim Gear, Lost N Portland, lululemon, Merrell, Yakima,
All Good, Hike it Baby, Bridge City Kids, Roam Oatmeal, Oregon Field Guide, Gorgeous Relay, Alpenglow Collective and Earth Hatz.

The dance moves were also out in full force all day thanks to our wonderful bands rocking the stage. Tumbledown kicked off the party. Kory Quinn kept the vibe high. The World's Finest closed down the party and rocked it with music you couldn't help but dance to!

The best part of the event is that, as a community, we raised over $4,000 for Adventures Without Limits.

Proceeds from our Stanley pint cup sales went to Adventures Without Limits along with proceeds from Patagonia's Worn Wear program, raffle ticket sales, and a percentage of beer sales from Ecliptic.

This community continues to blow our minds. Thank you from the bottom of our heart for the support. This event wouldn't be possible without our sponsors; you helped us kick off this event series with a bang. We are looking forward to continuing this party across the West this summer. Look for us in Vancouver, British Columbia, Denver, Seattle, Bend, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and L.A. this summer.
