The first Saturday in July was the perfect day for our annual Mile High Summer Shindig in Denver, Colorado. It was the hottest day of the year with the peak temperature hitting 100 degrees, but that didn't stop over 2,000 people in the outdoor community from coming out and celebrating summer at Denver Beer. Co.

At Denver's maiden event we had 10 vendors from Denver's outdoor community who faced the heat and had a great time with guests. We had a strong mountain bike presence with Guerilla Gravity's demo bikes, COMBA recruiting volunteers, and Compel showing off some of their new styles. A stop at the Spyder booth was a sure win with their spin-to-win game, and Mountainsmith had a great raffle for must-have summer gear. Zeal Optics showcased their new line of glasses and even had a few pairs up for grabs. Mile High Clothing Co. was showing off some of their new, hip shirts, while Mont-Bell shared some of their favorite gear with the community. If you're a coach or involved in team sports, you definitely need to check out TeamSnap as they have an app that will make your life a lot easier. We really can't thank all the vendors enough for fighting through the hot Colorado sunshine and making this an entertaining event.

Speaking of entertainment, the bands rocked all day long. The music started at noon with Gravity Tapes followed by The Dollhouse Thieves, Confluence, Modern Leisure, and Josh Moorehead. The crowd couldn't help but sing and dance to the Gin Doctor's 90s hits.

The best part of the whole event?!...

Together as a community, we raised over $3,000 for First Descents!

We had our sweet custom Stanley pint cups for sale with proceeds benefiting First Descents, and Denver Beer Co. donated 10% of the event's beer sales as well. It was a good day to drink for a cause!

We're sending lots of love and a big THANK YOU to all of our vendors from this year. This event wouldn't have been the success it was without all of you. If you didn't make it out, keep your eye out for details on next year's event as you wont want to miss it!
