The joys of backpacking are many, and anyone who has set out on an overnight trek can attest to the wonders of spending the night outside after a long day on the trail. But no matter how well prepared you are for that trip you have planned, the weather won't always be on your side. Even when the forecast shows nothing but sun, it's good practice to be ready for anything; and even when your weatherman predicts rain, it shouldn't deter you from getting outside and backpacking - you're just going to want to take a few extra steps in preparing for your adventures.
